I FIRST SAW HIM AROUND EIGHT O'CLOCK IN THE EVENING standing on the corner of Loftus Road, close by the Queens Park Rangers football ground. He had dressed with some care for the occasion, black dinner suit, blue velvet bow tie and a rather dashing pair of light brown moccasins, the ensemble being completed by a large green rosette which bore the motto: "Barry McGuigan - The Clones Cyclone".
